Elevate your next hosting event with a piece of functional art you built yourself. In this one-night intensive, you’ll move beyond the 'store-bought' look and create a professional-grade serving tray or cutting board using the same premium hardwoods we use for our custom furniture commissions.
The Experience:
This isn't a pre-cut kit. You’ll start by hand-selecting your lumber from a variety of our studio stock—ranging from the deep tones of Black Walnut and the classic strength of White Oak to unique Live Edge pieces that retain the natural character of the tree.
What You’ll Learn:
Shaping: Learn how to use professional templates or freehand your own unique silhouette.
The Router Table: Master the art of the 'edge profile.' Whether you want a modern chamfer or a classic round-over, you’ll learn how to safely route your board for a comfortable grip and polished look.
The Sanding Progression: We’ll show you the secret to that 'glass-like' finish through proper grit sequencing and grain-raising techniques.
The Grain Reveal: The most satisfying part—applying our food-safe mineral oil and wax blend to see the natural colors of the wood pop for the first time.
What You’ll Take Home:
A custom, heirloom-quality serving tray or cutting board, conditioned and ready for your next charcuterie spread.
